Cabinet warm and the forecast over 105?
In a Phoenix summer a failed built-in loses its contents in hours, not overnight. Say so when you call and refrigeration that has stopped cooling goes to the front of the day.

Straight answers
Questions we are asked on the phone
How quickly can someone look at it in Phoenix?
The line is answered 24/7 and visits run 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days. In summer we push refrigeration that has stopped cooling to the front of the day, because a cabinet sitting in a 110-degree house loses its contents in hours rather than overnight.
What does the visit cost before any repair is agreed?
A flat $89 service call covers the trip and the full diagnosis, and it is credited against the repair if you go ahead. You hear the price for the work before a spanner moves, and you can stop at the diagnosis if the number is not worth it to you.
Does the desert heat really change how these units fail?
It changes what fails first. A condenser that would run clean for a decade in a mild climate spends five months a year rejecting heat into a 100-degree kitchen here, so fan motors, start components and clogged coils dominate our call sheet — much more than sealed-system leaks do.
Do you take built-ins out of the cabinetry?
When the work needs it, yes. Integrated and panel-ready columns are pulled on protective board, worked on, then set back flush against the surround and re-shimmed so the doors line up with the run of cabinets again.
What should I have ready when I call?
The model number, which is on a plate inside the fresh-food door frame or behind the lower grille, plus what the temperatures are actually reading and any noise or ice you can see. That is usually enough to bring the right part on the first visit.
Is it worth repairing an older built-in at all?
Often, yes. A twenty-year-old built-in column is a better cabinet than most of what replaces it, and the parts that wear — fans, gaskets, defrost heaters, control boards — are all replaceable. We tell you plainly when a unit is not worth further spend.

Narrow old kitchen, and the freezer had been creeping warm for a month. The unit is built in tight and the condenser could not breathe in this heat. He cleaned it out and showed me how to keep the airflow clear.
Socorro V.Willo
Our 1930s kitchen is narrow and the column is boxed in by cabinetry, so I dreaded anyone moving it. He padded the floor, replaced the start relay, and slid it back perfectly flush.
Guadalupe R.Encanto
Cubes were coming out half formed and clumping together in the bin. He found the mould heater not releasing rather than a dead module, which was a much better outcome. Clear ice again since.
